PROJECT 1 | Kitchen Re-build
​
The food supply offered by World Food Program has been threatened due to the condition of the kitchen not meeting standards necesary to participate in the program.
Consequently, many children will be affected as their parents cannot afford to provide the food they might need while in school. The WFP program supplements the parents and is able to sustain many students in school.
Having a proper kitchen and even a well organize dining hall of WFP’s standard is a necessity in Kerr Mama.

PROJECT 2 | Renovation of School Buildings x 2

The two school buildings standing in Kerr Mamma are in desperate need of renovation with only one of the two suitable for occupancy today.
Both buildings will be renovated and improved structurally, including paint, windows, doors and tile. ​This will allow for primary and secondary schools to run concurrently.

PROJECT 3 | Furniture, Fixtures, School Supplies​

Once structurally sound and updated the school will need to be outfitted with desks, chairs, blackboards, school supplies and materials, solar panels, science equipment, computers/tablets. We welcome sponsors who can help to outfit the school with supplies to maximize learning potential of the students present and future.

PROJECT 4 | Rebuild Primary Healthcare Facility
​
​The primary health facility for the school and the village population is located just outside of campus. This facility will be repurposed and the medical facility re-built at a new location. The new facility will be outfitted with furniture, medical beds, hospital supplies and medication so that a permanent nurse can be hired by the Department of Health. This facility will serve the 500+ students, the residents of Kerr Mama and surrounding villages.
Progress: PPE and medical donated and shipped to benefit regional hospitals.

Started: Construction of new medical center in Kerr Mamma village.
April 2023 Work started
Nov. 2023 - Building constructed, donation secured Virginia Mason Medical Center.
Phase 2 building work has begun; plumbing, doors, windows, ceiling, tiling.

PROJECT 5 | Build Library & Multi-purpose Center

The Kerr Mamma school will receive a newly built Library & Multi-purpose center to be utilized by the school and the community. The two level building will include office space, library and multi-purpose center which will be used for hosting programs, lunch room facility, meeting space for studies and events.
PROJECT 6 | Furniture, Fixtures and Library

Once the new two level facility is built it will need to be outfitted with tables, chairs, books, solar panels, office equipment and furniture, plates and cups for the children to eat, etc. This list is large. We welcome sponsors who can help to outfit the library and multi-purpose center with furniture and supplies.
