KERR MAMA
MEDICAL CLINIC
Through the support of generous donor, Arvid Berg, the Alieu Saja Jallow Foundation was able to fund the groundbreaking of a new medical center in Kerr Mamma in April 2023.
​
This is a community-based project where residents of Kerr Mamma and the surrounding areas will participate in the construction and benefit from these critical resources.
​
November 2023 - The building structure has been erected and we continue towards project completion with the generosity of wonderful donors. Thank you for continuing to help with this live altering project.

Health & Social Services
The ASJ Foundation in association with generous donors has been able to supply necessary PPE and medical supplies to local hospitals in The Gambia. These medical supplies will enable doctors to provide safe and sanitary medical services, promote women's health and save lives.

Following a QTV news report about Oumou Janeh, a 10 year old girl suffering from Cerebral Palsy and pneumonia, ASJ Charity Foundation has been provided a wheelchair to allow for easier motility as well as 40,000 Dalasi. Although we have helped provide some financial and mobility relief for this child 38,000 Euros are what it will take to provide the surgery she needs, oversees, so that she may live a more normal life.

The Kids
Despite the lack of resources and the current environment, the children of Grade 9 have excelled in the West African Examination Council, allowing many to further their studies. Your generosity will empower more children to further their education and reshape their futures.
​Our Frst Project
​
November 2019 damage to the existing kitchen structure threatened to cutoff the supply of food from WFP. School lunch is the single source of food for many children who often walk more than 5 miles to attend school.
The ASJ Charity Foundation along with other donors stepped in to help fund rebuild & upgrade of the kitchen to maintain the food supply through WFP.
